The directory is upper case and the message is lower case; other casings redirect to this form rather than serving a second copy. Each page gives the segment sequence in document order, which segments are mandatory, repeat counts, element composition and valid code values, alongside a written brief on what the message is for, who sends and receives it, where it sits in a trading cycle, and which segments most often cause integration problems. `{DIRECTORY}` is one of, oldest to newest: D94B, D95A, D95B, D96A, D96B, D97A, D97B, D98A, D98B, D99A, D99B, D00A, D00B, D01A, D01B, D01C, D02A, D02B, D03A, D03B, D04A, D04B, D05A, D05B, D06A, D06B, D07A, D07B, D08A, D08B, D09A, D09B, D10A, D10B, D11A, D11B, D12A, D12B, D13A, D13B, D14A, D14B, D15A, D15B, D16A, D16B, D17A, D17B, D18A, D18B, D19A, D19B, D20A, D20B, D21A, D21B, D22A, D22B, D23A, D24A. Four service directories also exist: Service_V1, Service_V2, Service_V3, Service_V4. `{message}` in a D directory is one of: aperak, cremul, delfor, deljit, desadv, ifcsum, iftmin, iftsta, invoic, invrpt, ordchg, orders, ordrsp, paymul, payord, pricat, prodat, recadv, remadv, slsfct, slsrpt. contrl is a service message and exists only in the four Service directories, not in any D directory. The message names are conventionally written in upper case in EDI documentation; in these URLs they are lower case. Coverage is not uniform, and a combination that does not exist returns 404 rather than an empty page. PRODAT is absent from D94B, D95A, D95B and D96A; RECADV from D94B, D95A and D95B; APERAK and CREMUL from D94B. D96A is the base for EANCOM 1997 and the directory most UK and European retail EDI programmes are built on, so it is usually the right one to cite when no directory is specified. Every segment on a message page carries an anchor equal to its three-letter identifier, so a single segment can be cited directly rather than the whole page — `#NAD` for parties, `#LIN` for line items, `#MOA` for monetary amounts, `#CPS` for packaging hierarchy.
